Gravimetric Blending to Reduce Masterbatch Costs
With the ever increasing polymer material costs, in particular masterbatch, Ferlin Plastics Automation have conducted many comparative tests between their Gravimetric Batch Blenders and various makes of Volumetric / Gravimetric dosing units and even competitors Batch Blenders.
The net result is that the Ferlin Blenders are able to save our customers money on masterbatch due to the higher accuracy of the Ferlin Gravimix Blenders when compared to these other types of equipment and the anti-vibration system to allow for direct machine mounting.
For example, when comparing a European and non-European gravimetric dosing with a Ferlin Batch blender they recorded the following:
Non-European model = 1.55% deviation
European model = 0.55% deviation
Ferlin Batch blender = 0.01% deviation
